What are the benefits of joining the Revenue Management Society? Join the Revenue Management Society and gain access to a whole range of benefits and services:
How much does it cost? We charge a £200 once-only joining fee and a £595 annual corporate membership fee. This entitles three people from your organisation to attend each of our three conferences throughout the year and as many people as you like to access the Members’ Area of our site. We also welcome individual members. The cost for individual membership is a £100 once-only joining fee plus an annual subscription of £295. As we’re a non-profit making organisation, we’re able to keep our fees low and so offer you great value for money. Terms and Conditions of the Revenue Management Society The purpose of the Revenue Management Society is:- "To provide a forum to define and promote best practice in the use of revenue and yield management techniques, through discussion and communication between the key users of these techniques within the Travel, Transportation and Leisure industries." By becoming a member of the Society, you agree to accept the joining and subscription charges. You agree to participate, contribute and benefit from your membership of the Society by attending the regular conferences and occasionally presenting and otherwise contributing, to the benefit of the members of Society. Annual Subscriptions and fees The membership rate is set up on the basis of a one off joining fee plus an annual subscription. By agreeing to become a member, you are, on behalf of your organisation, agreeing to pay the joining fee and annual subscription of the Society by the due dates. The joining fee will apply only once, when an organisation first becomes a member, and will not be charged again, as long as there is no break in membership subscription. The annual subscription period runs from the 1st April to the 31st March the following year. Any changes to annual subscriptions will be notified at least 30 days before the commencement of the next subscription period. Corporate Membership Organisations who become corporate members of the Society, may register up to 5 members of their organisation to have access to the website and its resources, and send up to three delegates to the Society's regular conferences which are held usually three times a year. Individual Membership Membership is open to individuals, subject to the on the number of Independent Consultants who are members. Individuals who become members may only register themselves to access the website, and only attend the regular conferences themselves. Independent Consultants The Society does not exclude independent consultants working within Revenue Management, but it does seek to limit the number who are members, and as such, new applications for membership by independent consultants has to be endorsed by another member and a committee member. The joining fee will be charged again if there is a break in membership, either by design or by non payment of fees.
Guests Corporate Members may bring a guest to the society's regular conferences and meetings, subject to the limit on the total number of delegates attending meetings, and on the condition that the guest does not represent a supplier, as described below Use of Resources from the Website Members of the Society, as part of their subscription, have the right to make reasonable use of the resources available on the website for their own purposes within their organisations, but undertake not to allow such resources to pass outside their organisations. Resources include copies of presentations given to the Society by their authors, White Papers and Training Material. The Society requires that when such materials are used within member organisations, they are either used unedited, or if extracts are used, they are appropriately referenced with full attribution to the material's author and the Society as appropriate.
Suppliers The Society is set up for the benefit of organisations who are using , or plan to use, Revenue Management methods in their business, and with a primary focus on the Travel, Transportation and Leisure sector. There is a policy of not having system or equipment supplier organisations as members of the Society. They are thus expressly prohibited from participating in the Society's conferences. Members undertake to assist the Society in ensuring that conferences are not used for the purposes of identifying or exploiting sales opportunities. The Society reserves the right to exclude any member who fails to respect this membership condition without reimbursement of fees or subscriptions From time to time, at the request of the members of the organisation, the Society may organise specific days, or events, to which suppliers may be invited to attend and/or present. Depending on the nature and circumstances of such events, the Society may charge suppliers for such opportunities
Competition Act The Society is a forum to promote best practice in the use of revenue and yield management techniques. It must not be used as a forum to attempt to, or engage in any practices which are in breach of Competition Law within the UK, Europe or Internationally. In particular, members of the Society must recognise the principles and provisions of competition law and must not use its meetings or facilities to make agreements, decisions or practices which may directly or indirectly fix purchase or selling prices or any other trading conditions; nor limit or control production, markets, technical development or investment. Non Solicitation of other Members The Society will make the names, position and email address of members available with the Members Area of the website. The intention of this is to enable members to communicate and exchange ideas and experiences of Revenue Management. These details are not to be used for the solicitation of goods and services for members, or used in any marketing or sales emailing. The society will use the members email and other contact details for the purposes described below. Data Protection Act Contact details of members and their organisation will be held by the Society solely for the purposes of the operation of the Society. This will include the use of emails to members for notification of, and invitation to, events, such as the conferences, as well as the emailing of periodic newsletters and Update Bulletins. Members' Company names will be displayed as logos on the public area of the Society's website. Email contact details of members will be available with the secure Members Area for the benefit of other members for the purposes described above. Additional details, such as telephone numbers and company address will also be maintained for the purposes of the operation of the Society. This additional information will only be available to, and used by, officers of the Society. We will use our best endeavours to maintain both the accuracy, and security, of this data.
Data Retention Policy The Society will retain the details of members for the duration of their membership and then for a further period of up to 18 months after ceasing to be a member, for the purposes of inviting re-enrolment and distribution of newsletters. When a company or person ceases to be a member of the Society, The Society will normally set the former member to Participant status as a subscriber to the free Newsletter, from which he/she may then elect to unsubscribe. Records relating to the invoices of members will be retained for a period of at least 6 years to meet statutory record keeping for company and tax requirements. |
